Extent and Context

1.      Understanding the Context

The merits about functioning, duties, authorities and responsibilities of the Heads of Departments of Süleyman Demirel University [IT Department, Student Affairs Department, Staff Department, Strategy Development Department, Administrative and Financial Works Department, Health Culture and Sports Department (except the dining hall services), Library and Documentation Department] are being executed based on the 2547 numbered higher education law. The legislation that is needed for continuous betterment of the quality management systems of The Heads of Departments, does the needed works with the standard conditions included.

 

The context is effective towards the skills of reaching the goals of the Heads of Departments. That is why The Heads of Departments of Süleyman Demirel University determined the internal and external factors that can affect the skills of getting the wanted results of the management system.

 

Internal Factors are values, culture, corporate memory, resources, substructure, performance of the organization, organizational structure, services, needs and expectations of relevant parties.

 

External Factors are legal subjects, technology, rivalry, culture, geography and economical circle.

Our corporate culture, internal stakeholders’ approach to quality culture and their performance about the said culture are the factors that makes the internal context. Also, a SWOT analysis is being executed by the point of view of the internal and external stakeholders in order to determine the strong and weak aspects, opportunities and threats of the institution based on the strategic planning -that is made every five years- of the Heads of Departments of Süleyman Demirel University.

 

2.      Understanding The Needs And Expectations Of The Related Parties

Süleyman Demirel University has determined related parties that has potential effect on service delivery skills and their requirements for the quality management system with the stakeholder analysis method. Internal stakeholders that were evaluated with this method and the expectations of students are measured with the surveys that are done every year. All these needs and expectations are evaluated at YGG. How the related parties and their expectations are going to be met is shown in Article E, and it is described with stakeholder analysis and risk analysis procedure.

 

3.      Determining the Extent of the Quality Management System

The Heads of Departments of Süleyman Demirel University aims to maximize the quality of their services to staff and students, therefore maximizing the added value for them and for the society and the country.

In the setting of the internal and external matters of the Heads of Departments of our university, rules of the related parties and the service we are producing, the Quality Management System extent is determined IT Department, Student Affairs Department, Staff Department, Strategy Development Department, Administrative and Financial Works Department, Health Culture and Sports Department (except the dining hall services), Library and Documentation Department as “High Education Administrative services”.

 The Heads of Departments of Süleyman Demirel University are responsible of all the articles in 9001:2015 Quality Management System, and there are no articles that are out of the extent.
